NExAIE was established in 2026 by Dr. Murat Kahveci to provide a high-velocity, AI-augmented publication venue for the STEM education community. The journal was founded on the principles of Diamond Open Access and Critical AI Literacy (CAIL), utilizing a hybrid AI-human peer review model to enhance transparency and speed in scholarly communication.
